Joining a medical college as an MBBS student is not the only route for entering the medical field. Entry into any of the paramedical professions requires strict formal education in the concerned area of work.

Personality Traits    

Paramedics have to have a strong scientific and technical bent of mind. Radiographers, especially, should not be allergic to chemicals. Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists need patience,Strength and purpose,good physical health, interest in medical sciences sympthatic yet objective approchto a sick & disabled, ability for team work. Speech and Hearing therapist need a cool and calm temperament and must try and develope an understanding of people and interest in Human anatomy.One should have interest in Physics,mathematics,liking for people and helpful attitude.

Most institutions have an entrance test, on the basis of which candidates are selected. Most of the Bachelors' degree courses are available in the form of B.Sc.
